Ryan and Kylie decided to make their own Valentine's Day dinner. The entree was beef bourguignon. They started the prep work the night before, cutting up the ingredients. Here they are with the portobello mushrooms, which were huge. The laughing is because they could not believe I wanted to take their pictures again. The next picture is the "ok, we're done humoring you, mom" picture.
Ryan asked to eat outside on the lanai by themselves so Darrell set the table (with candles too) and I served. They started off with tomato bisque, which they also made. Kylie brought sparkling cider, which we served in crystal wine glasses.
For Kylie's gift, Ryan painted his first guitar in the "Van Halen" pattern in her favorite color (he had earlier painted it red, black and white like Van Halen's guitar).
