Happy Birthday, Karen!

My "BFF" Karen and her family came back home to Honolulu for a week's visit and it was so nice to spend time with them! We arranged to stay at the Embassy Suites Waikiki for a couple of nights. We walked around Waikiki on Friday night, went shopping Saturday (Kahala Mall, Ala Moana, and Island Paperie/Paper Island, where we took this photo). Their family went to Waikiki beach to swim and also spent time at the hotel pool. We had dinner at The Yardhouse at Waikiki Beachwalk. Then it was Sunday and time for them to return to California and for us to return to the real world. It was a nice little weekend retreat.
