This Season's First Field Show

Sept. 19 ~ KS vs St. Louis varsity football game at Aloha Stadium. It was the school's "Spirit Night" so everyone was asked to wear blue and white, and we filled up the whole mauka side of the stadium; pretty awesome showing. Too bad the team lost, 28-20. As St Louis is Kamehameha's arch rival, it got pretty heated during the game. One St Louis player got ejected from the game.

The band did part of their field show for the first time during half-time. The field show is "Africa" and it's very complicated. They did a good show this first time; it will be exciting to see the final show with all the props and dancers. It's amazing how fast they have to move across the field to make their formations.

Ryan and the tubas had fun dancing around during the game, like they usually do, to the fight song "Imua Kamehameha," "Land of a Thousand Dances," "Hey Song." He plans to try out for drum major this school year, and the current drum major is graduating.
