As part of their graduation requirements, Kamehameha freshmen need to complete a 10K run or 3K swim. Ryan ran the 10K (6.2 miles) with an injured leg, and finished in 1 hour 20 minutes, running three times around Ala Moana Beach Park.
Since they usually only run half that during PE class, that's quite an accomplishment. We were so proud of him.

It was the beginning of a busy weekend...after the run, they headed back to school to participate in the May Day Program, then rushed off to their band gig. After that, Keali'i's parents treated the boys to the "Iron Man" movie and they had "the best sleepover ever" at Keali'i's house. I met them the next day and took those in the school band to campus to participate in the Pops Concert (Ryan, Sproles, Kaala and Nick). We didn't get home until late Saturday night, so today, Sunday, we just napped and recovered (and uploaded photos to Sam's Club for printing and blogged!).
