Grandma and Grandpa went to Japan for 10 days while the school was on fall break so Ryan had his friends sleep over. Kaala and Sproles stayed over and they usually stayed up all night and slept during the day, playing video games. These two are Ryan's closest friends and have been since seventh grade.
October 19 is Darrell's birthday. He was not into celebrating but we eventually wound up at Big City Diner in Kailua for dinner. Can you tell he did NOT want me to take his picture?
This has been a busy month...every weekend we have band practice and football games. Band meetings after work make the days extra long.
Went to a college planning meeting for juniors at school...cannot believe that we have less than two years until graduation and have to begin planning for college - SAT/ACT tests, schools, applications and all that. For a short time Ryan mentioned wanted to go to a university with a well-known band (UH is not one of them) - like USC or Notre Dame. If that's what he wants, we're all for it, just not sure how we will pay for it yet. But then he went back to wanting to go to UH with his friends, so we'll see.
And how I feel about work goes up and down. But there have been challenges and struggles and frustrations in all of my past jobs, so I just have to deal with it. I've learned and grown from all of these experiences.
