What Did You Do This Weekend?

Started off Saturday with taking pictures of these guys, "Sin to Society," before they went into the studio to practice. The studio is on Dillingham Blvd. and you have to drive up to the roof for parking. These were taken from the parking area. Gotta work on my photography skills...

Ryan was a little disappointed in their practice session...their big gig in next Saturday and they didn't get that much accomplished. Hopefully they can practice everyday after school this week.

Went to pick up Aunty Shige to go to the "Made in Hawaii Festival" at the NBC Exhibition Hall. I was surprised at how great it was...lots of new vendors with new things. Sometimes it's just the same old stuff and I wonder why I bothered (event parking is $5, entry is $3). But we bought a lot of stuff...decided to leave without seeing everything since we couldn't carry anymore.
Had lunch at Kincaid's at Ward Warehouse...French onion soup and hot king crab sandwich. Pretty good! One thing about going out with my aunty...get a lot of exercise. Besides walking all over the fair at NBC, we walked around Ward Warehouse and crossed the street to go to Marukai too. Then we went to Walmart and walked around getting items to include in a baby shower gift basket. My almost-80-year-old aunty, pacemaker and all, is in better shape than me!
Darrell picked up Haley from her dorm that afternoon and dropped her and Ryan off at Waikiki Shell so they could go to the Band Camp Six concert, featuring Jason Mraz and 3-11, among others, but those are the only names I recognized. Darrell and I went to see "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" ~ really liked it, all the actresses/characters were so engaging. Loved the first movie, so it was nice to see all the loose ends tied up. Loved Alexis Bledel (Lena)'s wardrobe, so pretty!

Darrell made his third trip into town to pick up the kids, and we dropped Haley back at the dorm before curfew at 11 pm.

This morning was a little chaotic since Ryan didn't want to get up to go to work. He had also not washed his uniforms this week, thinking that he had a clean one. But he had two in the hamper and only one really dirty smelly one that he hung on his chair and mistook for clean, so that was a reason for him to get yelled at first thing in the morning by his mom! Especially since he only discovered this at 7:45 when he starts work at 8:30. Oh, well, he had to buy another uniform shirt today at work, cutting into his work proceeds.

After dropping him off at work, I went to the office and then had a pedicure at the Waikiki Plantation Spa in the hotel. I had won a $100 gift certificate that I needed to use, so decided to go today. The Spa is very nice and loved the treatment; the view is spectacular.
Picking up Ryan soon, then going to get more school supplies now that he knows what he needs for his new classes. Then we definitely need to go home and do laundry since we haven't been home all weekend! It's going to be another busy week...
