pops arcade 2010 featuing the "beatles"

Pops Concert was on May 8.  The seniors choose the theme and the seniors, juniors and sophomores dress accordingly.  This year the theme was "Pops Arcade," which was al about video games.  Seniors dressed as main characters from video games, juniors were to dress as villains.  The music they played were from video games too.






Ryan, Kaala and Joel played two Beatles songs ("Beatles Rock Band"?).  Ryan played drums and sang "Eight Days a Week."  Kaala sang solo on another song and Joel played bass.  They did a great job, even with the technical difficulties.  It was nice that my dad, Jan, Craig, Kylie and her friend came too for the first time to support him.

Pops is a dinner show and the freshmen band students act as waiters and waitresses, serving the pupus, drinks and entree.  I had to work, selling tokens for the pupus and drinks and overseeing the silent auction, but hopefully next year when Ryan is a senior I can sit and watch the show for once (since we've worked all three years of Pops so far).  But as senior parents, we do need to help plan and set up the gym before the event.
