first day of senior year and the three weeks since

Finally getting around to posting Ryan's first day of school picture.  He started his senior year on August 11. 

Here's his first quarter schedule:
Music and Technology
Physics
Creative Metals & Glass
PE/Fitness
Literature of Competition
Concert Band
Math

After three weeks of school, he is doing well so far.  Marching season began with Band Camp in July and is in full swing.  The first football game was a preseason one against Leilehua at Leilehua and the band performed.  They usually would not do preseason, but the football coach asked the band director if they could go and support the team.  Here are the tubas.  Ryan is on the end because he wanted to lead them around during "Hey Song."

He is loving being co-section leader and has really stepped up to a leadership role.  He and his co-section-leader Shane choreographed the tuba moves for all the football songs.  For the field show, he also calls the band to attention at the beginning and conducts the first movement, which is so exciting.

It's going to be a busy year!
