president's senior tea

                                                                                                                                                                                           It's a tradition that the Headmaster Dr. Michael Chun and his wife Bina host a "tea" for the graduating seniors and their parents the Saturday before Sunday's commencement exercises.  I was excited to go, even if a friend with an older child who went to Kamehameha only had negative things to say about it (it's hot, the lines for food are long, it's a waste of time, etc.).  Since we hardly see Ryan nowadays with him working, driving on his own, and going out with friends, just to be driving in the same car with him and going somewhere together was a treat!

First up was to stand in line for a picture with Dr. and Mrs. Chun.  Notice that they are wearing green, in honor of 2011's class color.  He is retiring next year, after 24 years of service.  He seems like such a gracious man, very genuine and caring.  We see him at all the events, supporting the students.

Enjoyed seeing Ryan with his friends, everyone dressed so nicely (not in their ratty uniforms).  We also got to spend some time in the Heritage Center, which has displays some of the school's founder Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop and Charles Reed 
Bishop's furniture and belongings.









They also took a picture with the high school principal, Mr. Julian Ako.

We had a nice time visiting with friends, relaxing and spending one last time on campus before graduation.
