The Kamehameha Band performed at the alumni-sponsored "Relay for Life," a benefit for the American Cancer Society on August 15. They played the alma mater to start off the event, then played the "Imua Kamehameha" fight song while leading the cancer survivors on the first lap around Kunuiakea Stadium.What a worthwhile event! We have had so many family members afflicted with cancer...it is such a terrible disease. Darrell's sister Candy's family sponsored a team for Molokai's "Relay for Life" event the week before.
Mahalo to all those who participated to raise money to help cancer victims and fund cancer research!
