Our final TOB was on November 6. This is the tournament that the Kamehameha Band Booster Club puts on every year. The 2010 tournament featured 17 bands, and despite all the rain the entire week before and the construction going on all over campus, everything ran so smoothly and was successful beyond expectations. Due to the large number of bands, there were a large number of boosters there to watch as well, so ticket and food concession sales were up. No rain, except just a light sprinkling now and then. Hardly any complaints about parking or walking far; the school's shuttle buses did an awesome job bringing people to/from the parking areas to the stadium.
And the highlight of the night for us was after the conclusion of the tournament, having the band perform just for us parents, who had been working the entire day/night at the tournament and had not been able to watch the whole performance.
Oh and here's a pic of me with the trophy we sponsored. I asked Ryan which trophy he wanted to sponsor and he said, "Class AAA Sweepstakes," which is the Grand Prize, going to the best band of the night in the AAA category (AAA class are the larger bands, which are usually the best). Of course, it was the most expensive!
