happy boy's day

May 5 is Boy's Day in Japan (well, actually now it's Children's Day and an official holiday, I think).


Have been looking at a lot of old pictures with Ryan graduating soon and came across this one from Ryan's first Boy's Day at two months old, at our house on Kauai.  My parents bought the koi fish flags and flag pole and also the Boy's Day shirts that the guys in the picture are all wearing.  L-R, my brother-in-law Craig, Darrell, baby Ryan, my dad.

Time sure flew by.
