The tradition at work is, once a month, to celebrate those staff members whose birthdays fall in that month. Usually there's a potluck breakfast or lunch and it's usually a surprise. It's been getting harder and harder to surprise people because they know this is what we do. But I was totally caught unawares this time! Was totally not expecting anything. Shae needs to get an Academy Award! She gave me some spiel about needing help with a vendor since the manager who arranged to meet him wasn't at work. She even showed me an email about the meeting. She opened the door to the boardroom and everybody was sitting there looking at me, and it still didn't register! Tino and I are the only ones with July birthdays, so we got to wear the crazy hats (another tradition).

More Birthday Stuff
