Happy Halloween from "The Joker"

Ryan decided to be "The Joker" from "The Dark Knight" this year. He even does a great Heath Ledger-as-Joker imitation...kinda creepy. Ryan and Grandma and Grandpa worked hard on this costume this week. When we couldn't find a green vest, he asked Grandma to sew one. She found the pattern and the green satin fabric and sewed it up in a day. When we couldn't find purple pants/jeans, Ryan tried dying an old pair of blue jeans, but that didn't work; they were still blue. But Grandpa handed over an old pair of his khaki pants that Ryan dyed purple and they came out perfect.

They also found a beige jacket at Sears marked down to $9.99 that Grandpa dyed purple (came out lavender because it might have had some waterproofing).

Can't really tell from the photos, but he has green stuff in his hair, and for some reason we didn't take a picture with the purple gloves. But he got up early and did his own makeup from a kit.

He went to school like this today and said that everyone loved it.
