Teru-Teru-Boozu

My dad is so cute...on Saturday, it was so stormy, with rain just coming down so hard. So he made a teru-teru boozu, a little handmade doll made out of white cloth that you hang outside in hopes of good weather. We used to make them when we were little.

There is even a Japanese folk song that goes with it:

"Teru-teru-bōzu, teru bōzu
Ashita tenki ni shite o-kure"

Translation: Teru-teru-boozu, please make tomorrow a sunny day.

It actually worked for a little while. Then when we were at Genki Sushi for dinner, it started pouring again!
