Sin to Society was invited to play at the Koa Puna Motorcycle Club's "Summer Slam" function at the Hawaii Country Club in Kunia. They totally rocked the place! Everyone enjoyed their music and commented on how impressed they were with the group, especially since they are only going to be juniors at Kamehameha.
When we first got there, our first impression wasn't great, since the name "country club" made us expect something more than we encountered. It was actually more a "club in the country"! The clubhouse had a great view.They played inside the clubhouse, which was actually much nicer than the outside. Most of the 200+ people partied outside, but everyone enjoyed the music. This was the first "real" audience that the boys had. At the past gigs, it's usually only been "the regulars" (Angelos, Aquinos) who have been there to cheer them on. It really made them feel good to feel the energy of the crowd and their appreciation of the music.
I printed "business cards" for the group to pass out, with their myspace page and email address listed. They have already been invited to play at the "Toys for Tots" function in December at Nanakuli Ranch. This one usually has 10,000 attendees!

Upcoming for the band: A gig on July 10 at a club called Alter Solum downtown, graduation party on July11, another possible club gig on July17.
