Victim of Crime

One week after starting work, someone tried to break into my car when it was parked on the street in the stall the company leases for its employees. They broke the back passenger window and probably tried to get into the car to steal it. Luckily the car security system is great and the alarm probably went off, scaring them away. The door also stays locked and couldn't be opened.

I didn't even realize the window was shattered until I was driving home on the Likelike, when I heard wind blowing and wondered where it was coming from since my windows were closed.

We called HPD once I got home and an officer came over and took my statement and even dusted for fingerprints. I'm sure nothing will come of it, but it sucks that this happened. It also cost $233 to replace the window.

The company I work for and the company we rent the stalls from claim that there have been never been any reports of break-ins.

Lucky me.
