Jan and Craig got the mochi from their neighbors, who pound their own mochi every year. That's a cool tradition. My dad said they used to do that when he was young. His cousin and his family also go to see the first sunrise of the new year, which my dad also used to do.
We lost that somehow. Now we just sleep in :)
Got up late and watched the Pasadena Rose Parade on TV. It brought back a lot of memories of when we were there for the 2008 parade that the Kamehameha Band participated in.
And that led to photo #2..
It's been a quiet day. Darrell is still sick and slept most of the day, and I took a long nap. Ryan and Kylie were playing Rock Band again. Ryan was invited to her house for dinner, so just something light for Darrell (have to force him to eat so he can take his antibiotics) and leftovers for dinner tonight, nothing special.
Have another job interview next week and then heading to Salt Lake City so things are looking up.
