Jan was able to get tickets for the "Nutcracker" performance by Ballet Hawaii with the Hawaii Symphony. Watching brought back a lot of memories from our many years dancing with Mrs. Rhonda M. Kimura. I was six when I started ballet lessons at YBA, and I continued through college.
I had never watched the "Nutcracker" live so it was a treat. The dancing and music were wonderful, and the sets and costumes were gorgeous.
We were fortunate enough to be able to take pictures with some of the members of the cast before the performance. My friend Bev's niece Raina was the toy soldier on the right.
