bull kogi

Ryan is enjoying his job at Bull Kogi at the Windward Mall food court.  Usually he cooks but he also takes orders/cashiers/put the vegetables on the plates before the hot items are added.

Here he is with the owner/manager James.  Ryan really likes him and they are flexible with his schedule.  He also picked up another day, Sundays, so he works Friday, Saturday and Monday nights from 4:30-9:00 and Sundays 9:30-5:00.  He usually has to stay an hour after closing time to clean up too.

It's called "Korean Fusion" because they serve a tortilla with Korean meat/chicken/vegetables inside.  Haven't tried that yet.

Here's what I usually get - fried mandoo plate.  Very good mandoo and the vegetable side dishes are tasty too.  Very generous portions - this was enough for two nights' dinner.

Ryan had a phone interview with Zippy's to cook at their William Henry restaurant.  They pay better but he really likes his co-workers here so if he gets an offer, he may decline it to stay here.  I think four days of work while he's still in high school is quite a bit, but he's doing well in his last year of school so far, probably the best he's done all four years.
