Ryan offered to come over and cook for us so he could practice his dish for the Continental Cookery class's practical final exam. This class cooks for Ka Ikena on campus. I had actually made reservations for Darrell and I to go for lunch the last week of November, but he wasn't feeling well and work was busy so we had to cancel.
Ryan's menu was Steak Diane with butternut squash infused mashed potatoes, oven roasted tomatoes and brussels sprouts. Everything was so delicious!
He even made the sauce table side for us.
And practice made perfect, because he got an "A" for the class! He texted me that Chef Sven from the Hyatt Regency Waikiki, who was the "judge" for the final, loved it!
Hope he'll make it for us again soon!
