Today's events: breakfast, band practice, naps for us in the morning and uploading photos to my laptop from the camera, checking emails, Hawaii local-style lunch by Kamehameha Schools Alumni Association-California (spam musubi, mochiko chicken-YUM!), Disneyland and shopping.We finally got to Disneyland after 2 pm. Before we set the kids free, I asked them to come into Disneyland and take a group photo by the Disney photographer. It came out great! I didn't realize until later that we had a couple of extra kids - Ryan's friends Sproles and Daniel - in addition to the boys in our chaperone group! Ry is in the hat and dark glasses hanging on to his mom.
After the kids went off, we met up with Jan & Craig and had a late lunch at House of Blues http://www.hob.com/ in Downtown Disney. Then they took us to Cerritos Town Center where we got to shop at Bath and Body Works http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/ and Trader Joe's http://www.traderjoes.com/. Lots of omiyage shopping got done! This was our first time at Trader Joe's and we were so impressed with all the snacks, yummy-looking and so reasonably-priced.
Jan and Craig dropped us off back at Disney, then went to meet friends for dinner. Darrell and I went to California Adventure this time, to pick up the photos we took at Disneyland earlier that day, and walked around the park a bit, until it was time to meet the kids and get back to the bus and the hotel.
