12/31/07 Day 6 of KS Band Tour

This post is for Nicky...since he and his mom are the only people looking at my blog right now! This is at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant outside Knott's Berry Farm. He is holding a Snoopy ice cream bar.

Today's schedule: breakfast, practice, pizza takeout for lunch for the kids, free time at Knott's Berry Farm, dinner sponsored by Kaiser Permanente (their float was Hawaiian-themed and preceded the Kamehameha Band in the Tournament of Roses parade), early bedtime because tomorrow is the parade!

Karen and Nicky drove over to meet us at the hotel while the kids were at Knott's and we had lunch at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. We had heard so much about it that we HAD to try it since we were right there. Usually there are long lines of people outside waiting to get in, but since it was between lunch and dinner, we walked right in. I was kinda disappointed...it was ok, but I don't think I would stand in line for it.

Here are Nicky and Ryan with his tuba - it's bigger than Nicky!

Thought this was cute...it was in the Snoopy Store across the street from the restaurant.
The Kaiser dinner was great - turkey and stuffing, two different green salads! Happy New Year!
