Ryan just got word tonight that his rock band was asked to perform at his school's Hoolaulea (carnival/fair) on February 23. Besides needing to practice and figure out what they are playing, they need a name. He went to a website that puts together random words to come up with a band name. These are some samples he came up with: Skintight Action (I said no), Mobilize the Ill Haven, Operation Stale Fish, Cheerful Boredom, Truth Serum, Public Whisper, Fifth Down, Bottled Nameless, Anti-Stinglish, Nine Tensions, Guilty Conscience. Weird, I know. He's asking all his friends for input...His band, as "Stage of Boredom," first performed at his eighth grade banquet last year and they did really well, doing "Sweet Child of Mine." They also performed at his friend (and group drummer) Keali'i's aunty's wedding last summer and they were a huge hit. As "Broken" they also played at the high school talent show last fall.
He's so excited! Gotta make sure he's concentrating on school the rest of the time!
