happy birthday to darrell!

Ryan and I had been trying to pin Darrell down on what he wanted to do for his birthday.  It was a busy week, but we had Tuesday, Oct. 19, free so I thought we could go to dinner, but he wouldn't say where he wanted to go.  He had to pick up Ryan at school that day and they called and said to meet them at Makinochaya at Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Very last minute, but we were able to get in when they opened.  He also got 50% off since it was his birthday.  Here he is with the lobster/steak teppanyaki station.  He and Ryan really enjoyed it...it was just ok to me.  Buffets (especially seafood buffets) are wasted on me.

Happy birthday to my husband...you've had a rough year, but hopefully the coming year will be much better.
